Issue 02 · About

The live date that started on a couch.

We are NiteDate — a live group video dating experience built on the idea that real chemistry needs a room, not an algorithm.

Our format

Four singles. One rotating hot seat.

Fifteen minutes, live. Cass warms the table with light first-round questions. Then the seat rotates — each dater takes a turn fielding anything from the others in the room, and chooses to KEEP the question or PASS. Both reveal something. Then the room votes. Then it ends.

Cass warms the room.

01

Cass opens every live date with the first few minutes — light, humanizing questions meant to take four strangers and make them readable as people. Most-used app. Last text. The thing your roommate teases you about. The room settles.

02

Once the seat opens, Cass steps out. The hot seat is between the daters — never the host. Cass doesn't ask, doesn't nudge, doesn't pick favorites. The format runs itself.

03

Cass also sees the private signals nobody else does — so the room stays a room, not a leaderboard. After the live date, Cass writes the recap that lands in your inbox. Who liked you. Who you liked. Nothing else.

Our values

Three rules. Everything else is improvisation.

Consent is the format.

No one is recorded, signaled, or matched without it. Replay eligibility is off by default. You decide what can be shared, who sees your picks, and when an email gets shared. Nothing leaks by accident.

The Live Date first, matches after.

The live date creates the connection, not the other way around. We optimize for a great hour on camera — the chemistry that produces is the point, and the matches are what it leaves behind.

Real people, real moments.

No fake bios. No AI-staged scenarios. No canned drama. Four actual people meet for the first time, and what happens happens. Cass opens the door — the rest is theirs.

“We are not a dating app. We are a live date that creates matches.”
