Everything that comes up before you email us.

Q · 01

How does the matchmaking work?

You browse profiles and tap a heart on people you'd like to meet. When two people pick each other, our system schedules a 15-minute group video speed-date with up to four mutual picks whose availability overlaps. You'll get a push notification when a date is scheduled, and another 15 minutes before it starts.

Q · 02

Why a group of four instead of one-on-one?

Group dates take pressure off the moment. Conversations flow easier with four people than two, and the dynamic surfaces who you're actually drawn to in a way that text-only swiping never can. The format also produces the show — when speed-dates are good they air; one-on-one calls usually wouldn't.

Q · 03

Do my speed-dates get aired publicly?

Only if you've set show-eligibility on in your profile, AND only after a producer reviews and selects a session for broadcast. Free-tier members are private by default. You can turn off show-eligibility at any time, and we won't air a session that includes anyone who's opted out.

Q · 04

How do I update my photos or video intro?

From inside the app: Settings → Edit profile. The three media circles at the top let you replace your profile photo, intro video, or body video. New videos go back through producer review before they show in Browse (usually within 24h). If anything's stuck, email support@nitedate.com.

Q · 05

How do I cancel or change my membership?

Manage your membership at nitedate.com — cancel, change plan, or update payment. Per Apple's rules, payment isn't inside the iOS app, so changes happen on the web.

Q · 06

I'm not getting push notifications.

Three things to check, in order: (1) iOS Settings → NiteDate → Notifications → Allow Notifications is on. If NiteDate doesn't appear in that list, the app hasn't requested permission yet — open it, tap a heart on a new profile, and grant permission when the system dialog appears. (2) Inside Settings → Notifications, ensure Lock Screen and Banners are on. (3) Check that no Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is silencing the app. If all three pass, email support@nitedate.com.

Q · 07

Someone behaved badly during a speed-date. What do I do?

Use the report button at the end of the session. We review every report. Repeat offenders get banned. For urgent safety concerns, email support@nitedate.com directly with the session date and time.

Q · 08

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, picks, matches, photos, and videos within 24 hours; aggregate analytics and audit logs are purged within 30 days. If you can't access the app, email support@nitedate.com with 'delete my account' in the subject line.
